Reptiles 

The reptiles of Peru are nearly as stunning as the amphibians. Unfortunately, they proved more difficult to find and photograph. We managed to see one snake, a coral snake, but it slithered away through the leaf litter quickly as soon as it realized it had been spotted. Below are photographs of the most commonly encountered reptiles.
